Wolf Caught After Going Missing at Tokyo Zoo; No Injuries Reported (Update 1)

A wolf was found hours after it went missing at Tama Zoological Park in Hino, Tokyo, on Sunday afternoon.

The animal was caught near the zoo’s main gate at around 2:20 p.m., the park said.

According to the zoo, one of its eastern timber wolves went missing after the park opened at 9:30 a.m. on the day, prompting it to evacuate visitors to safe places within the area and close the facility for the day.

The zoo had reported the missing wolf to the police and launched a search for the animal. No injuries have been reported.
