Golden Week Weather Forecast: Rain and Clouds Expected After May 3; Above-Average Temperatures Nationwide

Rain and cloudy skies are predicted for the Golden Week holiday period, especially during the final five days, according to the Japan Weather Association’s forecast.

This year’s Golden Week stretches from April 25 to May 6. Many regions will see sunny spells until May 2, but rain and cloudy conditions are expected to persist from May 3 due to the influence of low-pressure systems and weather fronts. The association is therefore urging caution for outdoor activities at that time.

Temperatures are expected to be higher than average nationwide, with many locations seeing summer-like heat.
