Kyoto Temple Garden’s Plum Trees Reach Full Bloom Early with Various Varieties On Display

Weeping plum trees are at their peak at Mimuroto Temple in Uji, Kyoto Prefecture, on Saturday.

Weeping plum trees are in full bloom in the plum garden at Mimuroto Temple in Uji, Kyoto Prefecture. The garden, which was developed in 2021, has approximately 250 plum trees with red, white and pink varieties planted in the grounds. The garden’s hillside location lets visitors to enjoy the view which overlooks the city. Due to the recent warm weather, the trees reached full bloom about 10 days earlier than usual.
