An earthquake with an estimated magnitude of 4.7 hit Ishikawa Prefecture at 12:36 a.m. on Sunday, measuring 4 on the Japanese seismic intensity scale of 7, in the prefecture’s Noto Peninsula.
There seems to be no threat of tsunami from this earthquake, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency.
The peninsular has been devasted by the earthquake which struck on Jan. 1.
