Heavy Snow Expected Again for Quake-Stricken Areas

Heavy snow is expected in Hokuriku region and the Sea of Japan side of northern Japan on Monday. Strong winds with snow are expected in some areas. Monday marked two weeks since the Noto Peninsula Earthquake. The bad weather is hampering rescue and support efforts.
According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, snow is expected to fall in the Hokuriku region on Monday afternoon due to cold weather, and at night the Noto Peninsula is also expected to be covered with snow. Snow and winds will intensify on the Sea of Japan side from Hokuriku to the northern part of the country through Tuesday, and some areas may be blizzarded.
