Forty-eight People Confirmed Dead in Japan’s Noto Peninsula Earthquake (UPDATE 5)

A total of 48 people were confirmed dead as of 15:30 p.m. on Tuesday after powerful earthquakes struck the Noto Peninsula and other areas of Ishikawa Prefecture on Monday, the Ishikawa prefectural government said.
According to the prefectural government, 19 people died in Wajima, 20 in Suzu, five in Nanao, two in Anamizu and one in Hakui and Shika respectively.
