X Games Chiba Confirmed; ‘X Games League’ to Launch at 2026 Event

The Chiba leg of the “X Games,” the world’s premier prize-money action sports competition, will be held on July 4 to 5 at Makuhari Messe in Mihama Ward, Chiba City, as announced by the organizing committee.

Th event will mark the fifth time for the games to be held in Japan. With 2025’s event taking place in Osaka, this year’s competition will be in Chiba City for the first time in two years. According to the organizing committee, around 80 top athletes from various events across the globe are expected to participate.

During the competition, 15 events across three sports — skateboarding, BMX cycling and off-road motorcycling — will be contested. New events, such as “Women’s BMX park,” have been added to the program for 2026.

The “X Games League” will also be launched this summer. In this league, teams compete for the annual title based on points earned by their athletes at X Games events across the globe, with four teams — “Tokyo,” “Los Angeles,” “Sao Paulo” and “New York” — vying for the top spot.
