Natsuki Wada Wins Gold in Table Tennis Event at Paris Paralympics

PARIS — Table tennis player Natsuki Wada won gold in the women’s singles event for athletes with intellectual disabilities, beating Elena Prokofeva from Neutral Paralympic Athletes 3-1 on Thursday. She became the first Japanese female athlete to win a gold medal in the event.Kanami Furukawa also earned bronze in this event.
