Crown Prince, Crown Princess Welcome Brunei’s Royal Couple at Haneda Airport; State Guests in Japan Until Monday

Crown Prince Akishino and Crown Princess Kiko welcomed Brunei’s Crown Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah and Crown Princess Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah at Haneda Airport in Tokyo on Thursday.
The royal couple from Brunei are in Japan as state guests.
Thursday’s reception was the first time members of the Imperial family have greeted state guests at the airport since the beginning of the Reiwa era (2019-).
The Crown Prince and the Crown Princess met and shook hands with the state guests as they stepped off their private plane. Then the two royal couples attended a welcome ceremony at the airport.
Crown Prince Billah and Crown Princess Sarah were to meet the Emperor and the Empress on Friday and will stay in Japan until Monday.
