Japanese comedian ‘Shizu-chan’ marries actor Toru Sato

Shizuyo Yamasaki, aka “Shizu-chan” of the comedy duo Nankai Candies married actor Toru Sato on Monday, the couple announced via social media Tuesday.
Though primarily known as a comedian, Yamasaki, 43, once took part in an amateur world boxing championship, and she has also been developing her acting career.
Yamasaki and Sato, 47, were among the participants in a stage production in June last year.
Photos posted to Instagram and Twitter on Tuesday show the couple standing side by side and showing off their rings. “We hope to build a peaceful family together,” the accompanying message says.
