Daruma dolls painted in blue and yellow, the colors of the Ukrainian flag, await shipment from the Daruma no Koki manufacturer in Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture. The palm-sized daruma were made to support Ukraine as it fights against the Russian invasion, and the proceeds from their sales, minus expenses, will be donated to the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan. Online and store sales have concluded, with about 1,000 units sold as of Tuesday.
