Tulips carpet the grounds of a park in Kashiwa, Chiba Prefecture. At Akebonoyama Agricultural Park, about 160,000 bulbs have been planted in the 1.2-hectare field. “It’s much more beautiful than I imagined,” said a 62-year-old woman, who was there with her grandchildren. The flowers are at their best through the middle of this month.
