Monorail offers mobile vantage point on Tokyo at night
November 25, 2021
Passengers take pictures of the Rainbow Bridge in Tokyo from inside a Tokyo Monorail train on Tuesday evening. The lights were turned off in the passenger cars of the train for a special chartered service. The special train took about 30 minutes to travel from Hamamatsucho Station in Tokyo’s Minato Ward to Haneda Airport Terminal 2 Station in Ota Ward, reducing its speed along the way when it approached illuminated landmarks, such as Tokyo Tower and the Rainbow Bridge. The 47 passengers aboard the one-off service admired the views while listening to commentary given by a crew member.
