Female Student Allegedly Injures 3 Students with Knife at Correspondence High School in Fukuyama, Hiroshima Pref.; Arrested on Suspicion of Attempted Murder

HIROSHIMA – A female student allegedly injured three other female students with a knife at a correspondence high school in Fukuyama, Hiroshima Prefecture, on Wednesday, according to the local police and fire department.
Police arrested the student with the knife on suspicion of attempted murder. The injured students were rushed to the hospital, but their lives were not in danger.
A teacher at Ozora High School in Fukuyama made an emergency call at around 10:15 a.m., saying, “A female student injured three other female students with a knife,” according to authorities.
Police are investigating the incident as a case of trouble between students.
