Japan’s Saitama Pref. Park Boasts Cherry, Rape Blossoms

SATTE, Saitama — A line of cherry blossom trees have reached peak bloom along with rape blossoms planted below the trees at a famous viewing spot in Satte, Saitama Prefecture.

Gongendo Park is known for creating a magnificent view in spring. About 1,000 Someiyoshino cherry trees line a bank over one kilometer long, in addition to about two million rapeseed flowers planted alongside them.

With the cherry trees reaching full bloom on Monday, visitors can now enjoy a beautiful contrast of pink and vivid yellow flowers.

Visitors can enjoy the cherry blossoms through roughly next Monday, according to a nonprofit that takes care of the trees.
