Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi and French President Emmanuel Macron struck the Kamehameha pose after their joint press conference in Tokyo on Wednesday.

The pose is known as the signature move of Goku, the protagonist in the “Dragon Ball” series.

Macron is known to be a fan of the manga and posted a tribute on X to Akira Toriyama in 2024 when the creator of the series died.
