1 Confirmed Dead in U.S. Osprey Crash off Kagoshima Island (Update 3)

One crew member was confirmed dead after a U.S. Osprey aircraft crashed off Yakushima Island, Kagoshima Prefecture, on Wednesday.
The 10th Regional Coast Guard Headquarters in Kagoshima City received a report on the crash around 2:45 p.m.
The aircraft was carrying six crew members who belonged to the U.S. military at the time of the accident. One member was discovered at 4:41 p.m. in waters about three kilometers off the island by a civilian vessel. The member was later confirmed dead, according to the coast guard.
